Color Effects
Color effects such as Duotone, Gradient Map, Gradient Fade, Four-Color and Gradient Overlay treatments can add interest and depth to images while suggesting core principles of the UVA brand.
Duotone
Duotone photo treatments can be used to add interest and depth to graphics.

Gradient Map
The Gradient Map effect can be used to add color and vivacity to images that run beneath graphics and text. Similar to the Duotone treatment, the Gradient Map effect focuses on the relationship of Rotunda Blue with other colors in the UVA brand palette, not just Cyan.

Gradient Fade
The Gradient Fade effect can be used to create spaces for text and graphics on images that might not have free space for text to appear legibly. The Gradient Fade can provide that space and still include the beauty of a full-color image.
