Primary Web Color Palette
The University’s color palette is a powerful and important asset in establishing a strong, consistent identity.
These web-appropriate versions of our primary colors are to be used in all logos, iconography, backgrounds and graphic elements. The addition of white to the color palette is intentional as the use of “white space” helps emphasize the logo, text and messaging.
The RGB and HEX colors that are provided have been selected based on best match for screen display.
A swatch palette of our web colors is available for download.
NOTE: To meet accessibility (WCAG 2AA) requirements for readability, only UVA Blue is approved as a color for text on a white background or as a color field behind white text.
If you are working on web pages for the University of Virginia, be sure to view our comprehensive Web Guidelines section, which includes detailed information pertaining to header and footer design, logos, fonts and navigation components as well as in-brand downloadable templates.
