Cavalier Orange is an addition to our color palette, and is derived from the color worn by our student-athletes in the field of play. The color conveys the bold, unafraid, fighting spirit embodied in our athletic pursuits, in our supporters and fans, and in the broader community that supports the University. Use of Cavalier Orange is not intended for general application or formal University communications and should be limited to apparel merchandise and applications related to UVA athletics.
Note that Cavalier Orange uses UVA-specific formulas to ensure greater production consistency and to better manage licensed use by University vendors. To retain its intensity in print applications, Cavalier Orange should only be reproduced as a spot color on coated paper.

Because Cavalier Orange is a custom Pantone color, it cannot be referenced by a standard Pantone number. Designers and vendors must refer to the approved color swatch to ensure color accuracy.
