Administrative units are defined here as the offices under the University president, provost, and chief operating officer. Administrative units are separate from units within UVA schools. Included in the administrative unit logo system are both formal and informal versions with the primary University of Virginia logo and the UVA monogram. Logos with an additional secondary level of information, used to signify a department within an administrative unit, are also available. Administrative offices are not authorized to create their own logos using pieces of the University logo system. If you need a logo that is not shown or is not available for download on BrandDot, please write to brand@virginia.edu. Please allow two business weeks for delivery of your logos.
Formal Horizontal
Use the formal horizontal version for applications where your available space is larger. Examples include letterhead, reports, and web banners. These logos are recommended in cases where a degree of formality is appropriate.
Formal Vertical
The vertical format is designed for applications where horizontal space is limited. Examples include envelopes, banners, and trifold brochures. In cases where a degree of formality is appropriate, the version with the primary University of Virginia logo is recommended.
Informal Horizontal
To achieve a slightly less formal feel, use the horizontal version of the administrative logo with the UVA monogram.
Informal Horizontal II
The most informal option of all logos in this suite, the horizontal short form version pairs the University monogram with a large and shortened version of your unit’s name. This version is recommended for use on materials that warrant casual marks and for audiences that are already familiar with your unit.
Informal Vertical
To achieve a slightly less formal feel, use the vertical version of the administrative logo with the UVA monogram.
